Steel Center is an innovative Career and Technical School owned and operated by eleven southern Allegheny County school districts and located just south of Pittsburgh in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. We are a student-focused public school that delivers high quality Career & Technical Education to approximately 900 students, and are looking for a caring, highly motivated, and results-oriented professional for the following positions:
School Custodian, full-time permanent position: First-year salary of $33,409.89 plus benefits, after a satisfactory probationary period of sixty (60) working days. Hours are from 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM, M – F, during the school year. Summer is a daylight shift, but hours may vary. Requirements include a high school diploma and experience working as a custodian in a public school and/or commercial setting. Experience with floor care and cleaning equipment is a plus but not required. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.
Instructional Aide: One position; starting salary is $15.00/hour for the first 60 working days, and then it increases to $16.69/hour plus benefits. Hours are approximately from 7:15am – 2:45pm, M – F. Position requires a high school diploma, additional education preferred. Experience in all fields encouraged to apply. Experience in trade industries such as automotive repair, collision repair, electrical and construction fields are beneficial, but not required. Experience in a public school setting is a plus but not required. Excellent communication, technology and social skills are a must. Inspiring teachers are encouraged to apply.
