    Permanent Positions:

    Computer Technology Teacher, full-time permanent: Seeking a Computer Technology Professional to instruct high school students. Steel Center is an innovative Career and Technical School just south of Pittsburgh. Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Administration, Information Technology Services, PC/Server Virtualization, Cloud Technologies and/or Programming. Must have appropriate post-secondary education; industry recognized credentials and/or certifications such as CISCO, Comp-TIA, and Microsoft; Excellent communication, technology, and social skills are a must. Experience working with high school-aged youth in any setting is a plus. Range of starting annual salary $48,256 to $54,747 (higher if already a PA certified teacher) plus excellent benefits package. This position is for the 2022-2023 school year. 

     

    HVAC Teacher, full-time permanent: Seeking HVAC Technician/Professional to instruct high school students  Steel Center is an innovative Career and Technical School just south of Pittsburgh. Requires a minimum of 5 years HVAC experience in residential and commercial service and repair. Teaching experience at any level is helpful but not required. Additional consideration is given to candidates who have continuing education, including industry recognized certifications/credentials and/or completed relevant industry training. Excellent communication, technology, and social skills are a must. Experience working with high school-aged youth in any setting is a plus. Range of starting annual salary $48,256 to $54,747 (higher if already a PA certified teacher) plus excellent benefits package. This position is for the 2022-2023 school year. 

     

    Instructional Aide, full-time permanent: Seeking a enthusiastic and caring Para Education Professional to support teachers in a Career and Technical Education setting. Steel Center is an innovative Career and Technical School just south of Pittsburgh. Requires high school diploma, additional education preferred, experience in all fields encouraged to apply, experience in veterinary/animal care or medical fields preferred. Experience in a public school setting is a plus but not required. Excellent communication, technology, and social skills are a must. Inspiring teachers are encouraged to apply. The starting salary is $15.81 per hour plus benefits. Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-3:00 PM; This position is for the 2022-2023 school year. 

     

    Substitute Positions:

    Substitute CTE Teachers: Individuals from all career (vocational) areas are welcome to apply, requirements include a high school diploma, prefer individuals with experience in any business/industry setting, teaching certification NOT required. Pay rate is $125 per day.

    Substitute Office Assistants: Requirements include a high school diploma, will perform general office functions, answering phones, assisting visitors, and related office support tasks. Pay rate is $100 per day.

    Substitute Instructional Aides: Requirements include a high school diploma, will supervise high school students and support the instructional activities of CTE teachers. Pay rate is $100 per day.

    Substitute Custodians: Requirements include a high school diploma; will perform cleaning in general public school/commercial setting. Pay rate is $100 per day.
