Filling Out a Job Application
Most employers require a completed job application. This provides the employer with facts about you that can be kept on file. The information you provide and how well you present it tells the employer a lot about you. It may be the first sample of your work that can make a difference between getting hired, being put off until later, or being hired at all. It has been noted that 75% of the applications received by most companies are messy, incomplete, and/or riddled with errors. These issues significantly lower an applicant’s chances of getting a job. A little preparation can help avoid this happening to you. Click on link to view a video tutorial on filling out a job application.
Job Interviewing
Interview Dress
Although most entry level workers in trade and technical fields do not wear suits, it is important to dress appropriately for a job interview. A good rule of thumb is to dress one level up from what is typically worn on the job. In most cases, business casual is a safe bet. Also remember the being overdressed is always better than being too casual.
